"Ballardsfield Farm is a small independant family run farm, owned and run by husband & wife team, Adrian & Clare Ballard. The farm was set up mid 2007 to establish a new, ethical food supplier in the region. The farm business is now well under way and a program of further business development is planned to produce a wider range of farm produce including, Pork, Lamb, Eggs, Top & Soft Fruits to name a few. Based in mid Cornwall.

Ballardsfield farm concentrate mainly as Breeders & Specialist Producers of Pedigree, Rare Breed, Free Range, Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs & Pork. Ballardsfield Stock Range Free doing what comes naturally digging for roots, worms and wallowing where and when they like.

Raised using Organic methods and supplied with an abundance of clean Iron Rich Fresh farm Well Water. All this and Good Animal Welfare ensure a Superior End Product that in turn maintains the continuation of this Intelligent, Friendly and Highly Revered Rare Breed Pig.

Ballardsfield rotate pasture and try to maintain Sows, six to an acre, they live outside in social groups and sleep in Straw filled Arks, they also birth in Arks outside, living as naturally as is possible. Ballardsfield interact personally with all the animals, the older ones all responding to names when called.

We believe that our method of Farming is more ethical and gives a Traditional finished naturally raised animal that has superior quality to that normally associated with supermarkets and raised in a un ethical and in our opinion cruel way in confined factory type sheds never seeing the sky like us.
