This precious liquid, redolent of peat smoke, sweet oak and creamy vanilla is bottled at 46% alcohol by volume to further optimize this unique flavour. Tasting Notes: Appearance: Bright amber-gold. Nose: Delightfully complex. Elegant dry wood-smoke and peaty, perfumed sweet heather, with hints of walnut, leather and toast. Pronounced notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Water emphasises the peat smoke and moorland notes. More sweet Speyside character emerges, with light European oak. Behind this lies treacle toffee and smooth, mocha coffee. Body: Smooth. Medium. Palate: Honeyed to start, smooth and long, showing wonderful balance and real character. Combines freshness with maturity: complex, integrated and intense. Fine dry, smoky flavours with a hint of honeycomb & beeswax. Nutty too, with some dried fruit. A rich, soothing texture makes it very pleasing to drink.
