The silver anodised surface is characterised by a silver, smooth, easy-release, easy clean finish and the aluminium core is effectively "sealed in" thus making it excellent for most baking purposes.

Alan Silverwood Limited is a family firm, based in the West Midlands. Established over 40 years ago to produce jugs and beakers for education authorities, for the last ten years they have specialised in manufacturing a distinctive range of domestic bakeware.

Heavy gauge alloys are used to ensure robust construction;
Many products have a removable base so that the cooked food can be removed perfectly;
Cake pans are a full 3" deep and up to 4" deep, with the larger sizes;
Square cake pans have welded corners to ensure they can't bow;
Sandwich pans are a full 1" deep for lighter sponges;
Baking sheets are made from a rigid alloy, which ensures that they don't distort in the oven.

Every product shown on the following pages has been designed and manufactured in their Birmingham factory. Many of the designs are unique to them.

Silverwood Hard Anodised 10 X 8 X 1.5in Roasting Dish Cookware Silverwood hard anodised 10 x 8 x 1in Roasting dish The Silverwood Hard anodised bakeware range gives an even more advanced finish than that of the silver anodised range. After prolonged processing, a film is built up which can be 10 times thicker than the film on silver anodised bakeware. It is this thick film which gives hard anodised bakeware its characteristic dark grey colour. The surface is permanently changed to give a harder-than-steel finish. Metal utensils, such as whisks and spoons can be used without damaging the bakeware although surgical steel knives may cut into the surface.
