    Emmanuel Delaille uses lutte raisonée, or minimum intervention techniques, as well as restricting yields to ensure optimum quality and ripeness of the grapes. Showing crisp gooseberry and lime aromas which follow through to the palate. A period of maturation on the lees has added complexity to the wine.

At 1.3Ha, we're sure the word micro, or even nano should somehow be employed but we can't quite think how. The term clos, meaning a small walled vineyard, is more commonly used in Burgundy and the approach to terroir at Clos Le Comte could quite easily be described as Burgundian. The vineyard was first planted in 1929 and average age of the vines is in excess of 50 years old. Jean Michel Le Comte made his first vintage in 2000. The wine spends only a year in barrel, resulting ina well-balanced wine with an exotic touch. red wine
