When you order 'fresh' fish from The Fish Society, it WILL be supplied frozen. Contrary to popular opinion, so long as the fish is of the finest quality, then the frozen fish will be at least as delicious as an equivalent fresh fish. This was borne out by independent taste tests carried out on fillets (fresh and frozen) from the same fish in a live tasting on the Radio 4 Food Programme. Frozen fish is highly convenient and unlike fresh fish, does not need to be eaten immediately.

The Fish Society has a slick website displaying all manner of fish, having a range of around 200 delicious fish products to choose from.

As fishmongers, The Fish Society usually stock all their customer favourites. These include halibut fillet steaks, wild salmon fillets, whole lemon sole, John Dory fillets amongst many.

We wish they wouldn't do it, but we have to point out that these prawns (like every other peeled frozen king prawn) contain polyphosphates, which make the prawn take on water, to make it SEEM heavier and less expensive.
